You already know our 10 most popular shows with the listeners, and eight of Jeff’s favorite moments from the show.

But what about the voices you hear on the show? We have three regular hosts, so we polled each of those three for their three personal favorite shows.

 
THREE SHOWS FROM LOURDES

Mary Holmes: One of the area’s most well-respected brown belts (and a training partner of Lourdes’ for years) sat down with us for a fun and introspective conversation that is still a favorite.

Garry Tonon: When you train at Renzo Gracie’s place in NYC, and you notice Garry Tonon get done training, and you have a microphone, you have a moral obligation to interview him. Lourdes did.

Voices of Toro Cup 6: So many great interviews! Nico Ball of Terere Kids Project, Chelsea Kurtzman and Laurie Porsch immediately after their match, Sa’idah Durkee, Seth Shamp, Jeremy Arel, and of course Sami Seff on painkillers.

RefugeeJitsu: Besides being a nice encapsulation of the power of jiujitsu, this is also one of our only fully produced (as opposed to live) shows, which was a lot of fun.

Worlds in 2016 with Rickson Gracie: Betsy hasn’t been to Worlds. This show is an attempt to show folks who haven’t been to Worlds what that experience is like — and, of course, the GOAT shows up.

Ask a Random Purple Belt: Betsy just likes cornering me and putting me on the spot with questions.

THREE SHOWS FROM JEFF

Dominyka Obelenyte: Dom isn’t just an elite competitor, she’s a multitalented young person with a wide array of interests. We had a free-flowing conversation with the multiple time world champion between her North Carolina seminars, and got some great jiujitsu advice, memories and insight into what makes the best in the world tick.

Leka Vieira: This will always be a special show to me for several reasons. It has history, a groundbreaking event in jiujitsu, a perspective that hasn’t been out there so much, and someone I’d wanted to get on the show for a long time living up to (and exceeding) expectations.

Pedro Sauer & Murilo Bustamante: Two of the people I respect most in jiujitsu — on one show? I’m the luckiest guy in the world to get to do this.
